Travelling people also include fairground workers who go from fair to fair and those who work in Circuses. The first insertion among the fairground people began in Lyons with Little sisters travelling throughout eastern France and Switzerland.

At fairs they make and sell pancakes but they also have stands with games where people can win terra cotta cribs or a clay baby Jesus, made by the sisters and expressing the message of Christmas.

In 1965, Little Sister Magdeleine was very keen to establish a presence of the Little Sisters in Luna Park, a permanent fairground in Rome itself which would be right under the eyes of the Church hierarchy.
