Jesus Caritas

Jesus, the blows and the pain and blood made you an object of disgust. Yet it is disfigured in this way that you continue your way among us in the world. We constantly run the risk of passing you by and of not recognizing you. We are often blind, wrapped in ourselves, and yet you are there, our God, before us. Only a fearless love like that of this woman will enable us to see your face, wherever it is hidden, be it in poverty, in sickness or in pain.

Lord, enable us to always be able to find you wherever you await us, to see your face, wherever it is hidden in all the visible or hidden sufferings of our world.
