The future is unsure, and unpredictable. We are living in strange times, struggling to cope with life in new ways that we have not experienced before. And yet could it be true, a new road is opening up before us? As followers of Brother Charles, who will soon be canonized, are we not invited to delve ever deeper into the mystery of the Incarnation, the mystery of Bethlehem and Nazareth, of God himself who shared our human life and traced a new path for us to build with him his kingdom?

-Is our life of faith and trust in God unexpectedly challenged and deepened during more frequent times of silence?
-Do we find God in a new way in others?
-Is there a new quality in our way of listening and entering into the story of the other?
-Do we recognize the life of the Spirit in the resilience of front line workers and families who are home schooling or elderly people who find themselves more alone and cut off from their families?
-How in fact is our life enhanced rather than diminished in the face of the present crisis?

This is a new initiative. I would like to invite you to share with others your experience of Nazareth and Bethlehem at this particular time of lockdown?
