A young Little sister writes from Miyadera

It has been ten years since our central community left the center of Tokyo to move to the big outskirts. It has been difficult to settle, but it is in a place where we can breathe, and enjoy the good air of nature and the simplicity of the people. The beautiful little church near where we live is the first one constructed in our diocese.

All around us are families who have transmitted their faith for generations, but only one family comes regularly to Mass. Once a month, Christians come to recite the rosary at the fraternity and it is a very simple occasion for faith sharing.

In our Community, there is a wide range of ages. Here is the fresh voice of our newest little sister:

'My name is Paola Takako. I joined the Community in June, 2007. Since I have been here, while working part-time in a neighborhood factory, I have been joining our neighbours in prayer. I received the cross of a postulant this October. I am so happy to be able to know so many little sisters. Following the example of Jesus who transmitted the love of God through his Face of powerlessness, I desire to live among the people with the Little sisters, sharing this life of God. So, good-bye. I wait with joy to meet you!'
