Notes from my Diary, Talcahuano

Making Jam!Making Jam!

"The workshop of Little Sister Teresa Claire, the cards of Helene Mireille, the jams of Ana Jimena... you have found the way to live like the neighbours at a time when it is impossible to find paid work. All this initiative is very positive. It is living what it means 'to be with'.

The Talchuana CommunityThe Talchuana Community

God with infinite imagination brought together these three little sisters to form one Community, each one with such a different personality. It is a beautiful testimony.

I was struck by a woman of the neighbourhood called Maria. She is among those who can say: 'I exist thanks to the little sisters. They know me by name'.

It is very important to be people who listen, to listen to each other to the end. Listening brings out the best in us. It is a challenge that I present to all the Little sisters.

The Lay Community are among those who are concerned with people "outside" the parish. We think alike and work together."
