Welcome to the house of our common Father, you Little Sisters of Brother Charles of Jesus, you Little Sisters of Africa, you of the Far East, you of both Americas, you of the Near East, you of Europe. Divine Providence has brought you all to Rome.

We can see the marvellous flowering of your congregation, for which there are no-political frontiers, no differences of race or caste, but only the Love of Jesus. Where supernatural charity reigns, God is present. Not only is He present, but He is active and His presence shines out. You have made your own in a special way the precept of the Divine Master,

"Love one another as I have loved you."
Therefore we have great hope that the world will recognise the presence of God in you. By your Christian vocation and your religious vocation, you are to be the light of the world, a humble light, one that reflects Him who Alone is the true Light. By His grace, you too are really light, provided your life flows first and foremost from the Love of the heavenly Father.

Be faithful to your spirit, keep the immense love you have for the Church and your desire to obey all its directives.

Be humble among the humble, dedicated until death, as Jesus was, steadfast in the carrying out of His divine Will, full of hope, faithful to God by whom you have been called to the fellowship of His Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ.
