POVERTY

How happy are you who are poor. (Luke 6:20)

But alas for you who are rich. (Luke 6:24)

I tell you solemnly, it will be hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 19:23)

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. (Luke 12:34)

You cannot be the slave of God and of money. (Luke 16:13)

That is why in telling you not to worry about your life and what you are to eat, nor about your body and how you are to clothe it. For life means more than food, and the body more than clothing. Think of the ravens, they do not sow or reap, yet God feeds them. (Luke 12:22)

So do not worry about tomorrow. Tomorrow will take care of itself, each day has enough trouble of its own. (Matthew 6:34)

Set your hearts on his kingdom first, and on his righteousness, and all these other things will be given you as well. (Matthew 6:33)
