They have not only put you to death Lord but they have taken possession of your body and placed guards to make sure you remain safely in the tomb. They have seen to it too that there shall be no ressurection by sealing up the entrance. It would all seem settled and over. Just another execution out of the way.

You remained only three days in the tomb and those three days are our ultimate hope. Face to face with failure and death, we forget that it is of hope that we must speak. Our road will ressemble yours, sometimes suffering violence to the very unity of our being. Give us Lord an unfailing fidelity to your Church. May our confidence be invincible, our confidence and our certainty that true life will finally triumph in the world. Lord help us to believe in your Ressurection..
