Jesus Caritas

Now love has carried Jesus to the utmost limits of his human strength, almost beyond what a man can endure. He has really loved us to the end. For the moment he can go no farther. But soon all will be achieved. His Father’s will, will be done. He will carry it through to the end.

If we hand over our lives completely, love can transform our weakness. Jesus, teach us to welcome each invitation to love. Enable us to carry each response through to the limits of our strength. Let your grace be active in us at every instant even when it seems we cannot go any farther. Let us desire only the fulfilment in ourselves of each detail of the Father’s will, even when sometimes we fail to understand.
