The weeping women were far from grasping and indeed who among us could grasp what it meant to our Saviour to see into the depth of sin, all the sin in the world? Jesus you willingly took it upon you in your love for each of us.

In your gentle mercy, Lord, forgive us. Forgive the sin of all the world. Open our hearts and minds to the depth of your love for every person on earth.
