New and risky foundations

1949 ChristmasAt Christmas 1949, in the grotto of Bethlehem Little Sister Magdeleine handed on the position of Prioress General to Little sister Jeanne. From then on the government of the Community worked independently and Little Sister Magdeleine could give her time to new and risky foundations in the five continents.

In every corner of the world Little Sister Magdeleine entrusted the Little Sisters to those who welcomed them. The foundations were made with their help. They wanted to be a presence of friendship and prayer, there where other forms of Christian life would find it difficult to be and to make the Church present.

In fact the rhythm of new foundations accelerated.
